HIROSHIMA, Japan — As Russia claimed control of the fiercely contested city of Bakhmut, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Sunday the city “is only in our hearts” as he mourned the vast destruction. “You have to understand that there is nothing,” Zelensky said. “They destroyed earth, removed buildings. It’s a pity, it’s a tragedy.”
