Skittles has brought a new flavour and it does not have the usual sweet and sour taste, but rather something different.

According to CNN, the candy maker has made its first-ever mustard-flavoured skittle in partnership with French’s celebrate National Mustard Day on August 5.

The yellow-coloured candies have a “tangy mustard flavour” combined with its “iconic chewy texture”, said a press release.

If you want to try the new candy, you can do that at French’s “Mustard Mobile” that’s stopping in three US cities, including Atlanta on July 31, Washington on August 2 and New York on August 5.

Moreover, people can also get a chance to win a package by entering the online contest.

“Skittles is always looking to inspire moments of everyday happiness and deliver unexpected ways for fans to experience the brand,” Ro Cheng, Mars’ marketing director, said in a statement.

Skittles, which is owned by Mars, usually introduces limited-edition flavours but they are sweet and sour. However, this time they decided to do something different.

The partnership between French’s and Skittles is a new partnership to celebrate a holiday. The McCormick & Company-owned company sold a mustard-flavoured doughnut in New York last year.

In 2019, French’s also sold a mustard-flavoured ice cream that aimed to bring together “two all-American classics, ice cream and mustard.”
